Amazon.com Product Description
Not everyone likes the wide-mouth design of traditional Nalgene water bottles, which is one reason the company built the narrow-mouth Nalgene Tritan. Made of super-tough Eastman Tritan polycarbonate, the Tritan offers the same roomy interior as most Nalgenes, but with a narrow loop top that minimizes the chance of spills and a cap that never gets lost. In addition, the bottle's BPA-free construction is impact-, odor-, and stain-resistant, helping it withstand a wide range of temperatures (from -40 to 212 degrees F) and last for years. Finally, the bottle includes printed graduations on the side, making it easy measure water quantities. Recommended for extreme adventures, the Tritan bottle is available in a variety of vivacious colors.

About Nalgene Outdoor
Based in Rochester, N.Y., Nalgene was founded in 1949 as a manufacturer of the first plastic pipette holder. The company soon expanded its product line to include state-of-the-art polyethylene labware under the Nalgene brand. By the 1970s, outdoor enthusiasts had discovered the taste and odor-resistant, leakproof, and rugged properties of Nalgene's large selection of plastic containers. In response to this emerging demand, Nalgene created a Consumer Products Division. In the ensuing years, Nalgene created a full line of bottles that were perfect for storing everything from water to powdered drinks to pancake mix to shampoo.

5 out of 5 stars Nalgene Tritan Narrow-Mouth Water Bottle (BPA Free)   October 8, 2008

This Nalgene water bottle is designed very well. It is extremely sturdy while still maintaining a light weight. The cap comes off easily (but not on accident) and it is easy to put back on. It does not leak. The bottle also does not contain any BPA. This is good because BPA messes up the endocrine system of the body (according to some studies, BPA mimics different hormones).

Overall, it is well worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Nice Water Bottle   January 19, 2009

I'm one of those who continue to reuse the disposable water bottles until the wife throws them away. Using filtered tap water(Pur filter)with this bottle gives excellent results, great tasting water. I need a large bottle for the gym and this one does the job. Due to it's shape it is pretty compact for its volume so it is not a chore lugging it around. Its a thick plastic so it does minimal job of insulating, much more so than the disposable bottles.

5 out of 5 stars I love them all!   March 29, 2009

I purchased 4 of them! A 32 oz. narrow mouth, 32 oz. wide mouth, 16 oz. narrow mouth, and a 32 oz. canteen. I love them all. The plastic is clean and odor free, the mouth of the narrow bottles are shaped for easy drinking, and I use the large mouth for making tea (cold water + tea bag, then let sit in fridge = fresh ice tea ready to grab and go).

I highly recommend!!

5 out of 5 stars Great water bottle for daily use   September 6, 2009

I always have low expectations when I order products online to avoid disappointment when they arrive. I am happy to say that this bottle is much better than expected. I like the narrow opening as it is similar to drinking out of plastic bottles which I am migrating from. I also like how they made the threads lower on the opening as it makes it much more comfortable to drink from. The 16oz size is good for around the house. I just fill it up and keep it in the fridge for when I need it. It is made out of very thick plastic and should last a long time. I think you could put it in the dishwasher (on the top rack) but I am planning on hand washing it. Also, it comes with a sticker on it that says it is BPA FREE. It is also stamped on the bottom of the bottle. I will be ordering more for my family.

*UPDATE*

Still happy with the bottle. Logo has not come off despite several washings. Just ordered two more for family. It's great how they make different colors.

I've had many plastic bottles but I love the clear one (probably personal preference) and the narrow mouth of the bottle as well. I used to hate the wide mouth because well...it was simply too big. I'll hold onto this for awhile.
