Product Description
Cold Steel Escrima Stick, Our Cold Steel Escrima Stick resembles a traditional rattan stick in length, weight, and cross section, it is however, much more durable because it is injection molded from super tough black polypropylene. It measures 32" long and is 1" in diameter and weighs approximately 12 ounces. Unlike rattan, it resists mildew, and won't dry out, warp, crack splinter or shrink, and with the use of a saw, it can easily be modified to any length. Plus, like our baseball bats, Bokken, and African Walking Stick, it is easy to clean and is so resistant to impact stresses and the elements, that it is virtually unbreakable and practically indestructible. Specifications - Weight: 12 oz - Thick: 1" Diameter - Material: Polypropylene - Overall: 32", Mfg No: 91E, Manufacturer: Cold Steel

5 out of 5 stars Not a bad stick   May 4, 2010

The stick is a nice product. It can really take a beating. It being 31" in length is good for those who like range. If you use standard length sticks it may take a little getting used to. The material itself will take some getting used to when twirling or striking objects. The recoil is different and when your hand sweats it can feel a little slippery.

This is an excellent stick for training since you won't have to replace it for a long time and the weight will build up speed in your strikes. Definitely beats replacing sticks constantly if you are striking a tire to develop power in your strikes.

5 out of 5 stars My favorite Escrima sticks   January 26, 2010

I own a dozen of these sticks by Cold Steel and they get a lot of action. I prefer them above my rattan or hardwood sticks. I haven't even come close to breaking one of these yet. Easy to cut to your preferred length. They are a little heavier than rattan which I like for training. All my students use these too.

3 out of 5 stars Balance Feels Off   March 22, 2009

The sticks themselves do indeed seem to be unbreakable. They are black composite and compared to rattan sticks strike me as very durable. That being said they are a little heavy, which is ok except that the balance feels off. I find myself having to choke up on the stick to find a good center of gravity. I am an escrima and jujitsu practitioner and I use sticks regularly in my workouts. I was very excited about this product but now I am on the fence. I have only had them for a couple of weeks and I am trying to get used to them. I can't say they are bad, but I also can't say they are great. Hope this helps

3 out of 5 stars Good Stick   July 29, 2010

Received the sticks earlier than expected. It is heavy. The balance is a little difficult because of its
lenght. I'm used to 28 inches rattan sticks. Feels like its made of hard plastic. Seems very sturdy though.
I wonder if it can be shortened. Buyers FYI. These does not really feel like your old arnis sticks. It has
a different feel, sound, and bounce when you hit an object. I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars. Still pretty good.
